Description
Let springtime begin . . . "Grandma's House" is a fine example of Romantic Realism Art with its dreamy, whimsical feelings. It is a slice of life that has been softened and brightened by beloved memories. The peace it conveys reminds me of the calm and stability I gained from the love of my two grandmothers. I imagined my grandma's hands holding the lily of the valley flowers.
"Grandma's House" has peaceful colors and many reminders of springtime. Of the border images, the green branch, red Cherokee dogwood, columbine, and children arise from my own photos. Border birds are house sparrow and cedar waxwing. The house is in my small town. The people who live in it keep it painted in attractive colors that are historically accurate, like a storybook house. An enchanted house, a Victorian "Painted Lady"!

Romantic Realism art tends to be dreamy. It is a slice of life that has been softened and brightened by beloved memories. Forever spring would be okay with me, or perhaps one day of winter ;-)
