Come & Get Us" is an oil painting of country kittens and a quilt on a sunny springtime morning. These farm kittens have colors of cream, marmalade, and tabby. The handmade lavender quilt has a star pattern.

I want to reach right into this painting and pet those fuzzy kittens! There is so much of interest in this marvelous artwork....the purple star quilt is the perfect compliment to the orange of the kittens, and the roses on the right jump out with their almost florescent, quiet beauty. like/f

The darlings ... I'm glad you finished the story. Knee high, they'd have been fine. Truth is, I haven't had a kitty in my life in several years ... we now have a maltese dog and though he does jump, he's not nearly as springy (if you know what I mean?) as cats are!! He's had more than one trip to the vet for a jump that he shouldn't have jumped. We've had to make changes in the house for him that we'd never have had to worry about for a cat!!! So I'm sure your little cuties would have been just fine!!! Again, sweet, sweet artwork!!! Goes right straight to the heart!!! :D

I do understand! When young, I had a Maltese named Chou Chou ("my little cabbage"). Small dogs can easily get hurt. We presently have two adopted papillons. In our neighborhood last year, a young cat needed costly medical care after leaping off a stair rail.

Wow, thank you for such a wonderful comment! I was taking photos for a portrait of sisters one day in the country, and yes, I was concerned the half-feral kittens might jump off the short slate table, which was about knee-high.
