Description
This avenue of flags is displayed to honor memories. Each flag has a brass plate with the name of a man or woman who has served in the military, each a person from Nemaha County, in southeast Nebraska.
“Patriotic Remembrances” is a 1999 oil painting on canvas, painted from the artist's own photographs of the Avenue of Flags in Auburn, Nebraska, USA - photos taken on a windy evening in summer. The public park shows in the background, with Highway 75 in the foreground.
