Bring the joy of springtime to your home! On a rosy peach background, watercolor flowers form wreaths - with a baby Dutch rabbit in the center, all hand-painted © Nancy Lee Moran.
The background color is a light shade of pink-red. Common names for it are carnation pink, coral pink, and light salmon.
The baby Dutch rabbit is part of my earlier oil painting titled "Tulip Playground" - art that is also on this website as prints and products.
I (Nancy Lee Moran) painted in watercolor (alla prima, from life) the peach iris, wild rose, daffodil, columbine, viola, and petunia. I painted the periwinkle flowers and leaves in oil paint.
The reddish leaves come from one of my favorite trees, the tricolor (tri color) beech. Its tri-cornered seeds are called beechnuts. The oval leaves have wavy edges, which I find charming. Its leaves are variegated variations of gray-green, pink, eggplant-deep-purple, and white.
